Volvo is Expanding its Digital Ecosystem in the United States

Earlier this year, Volvo announced that Seattle would be the next city to enjoy the benefits of Volvo's connected car platform, as Volvo owners in the city will be able to take advantage of convenience services thanks to a smartphone app. Owners will be able to have their car cleaned or the fuel tank filled, with the services even being able to be provided while the vehicle owner is at work, sleeping or traveling.

Seattle joins San Francisco in participating in this program, which is available to people who own model year 2015.5 and newer Volvo cars and SUVs. Whichever city the Volvo is parked in, owners can order fuel and car wash services from such partner companies as Filld and STRATIM.

This program clearly shows the advantage Volvo enjoys in being the only automaker to have built a system of connected technologies between the cloud, the vehicle and the owner's cell phone, while incorporating third party vendors into a single, seamless experience. Additional services will be added as consumer demand evolves, with new companies that provide timesaving services always welcome to join the program.

In a press release, Anders Gustafsson, President and CEO of Volvo Car USA, declared, "First San Francisco, now Seattle, and soon many more Volvo owners will have access to concierge services via an App. This is another example of how we are using connected car technologies to make life less complicated for our customers."

At Volvo Cars Gilbert, we're proud to serve drivers from the Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler and Tempe areas.
